Set in Italy during the Florentine Plague (Black Plague), a group of young nobles find adventure as they venture to arrive at a wedding between Pampinea (Misha Barton) and Count Dzerzhinsky. During their misadventures, love grows between Lorenzo (Hayden Christensen) and Pampinea as they deal with Gerbino (Tim Roth) and his outfit of criminals.
