Hayden Christensen

The domain HAYDEN-CHRISTENSEN.COM was acquired on May 5, 2000 using Register.com which was among a few reputable registrars at the time. The domain name without the hyphen (-) was already taken back in 1998 and devoted to a US Cival War hero who shared the same name. At the time, Hayden was a largely unknown actor known mostly his work on the TV series Higher Ground and his acclaimed movie appearance in The Virgin Suicides. One week later, Hayden Christensen would officially be announced on May 12, 2000 as Anakin Skywalker by StarWars.com.

This fan site went public in late May 26, 2000 with the title "About Hayden Christensen". An extensive search on Google found one of my earlier posts promoting the site on a newsgroup (antiquated type message board at the time) rec.arts.sf.starwars.misc.

Hi folks. Just wanted to inform you that I'm debuting my new Hayden
Christensen site Friday. Hayden will play Anakin in the next two prequels. My
site contains all up to date info on what he's doing and any news articles or
rumors.

This site blossomed into a huge community at the early turn of the century. Hayden attained huge stardom from the Star Wars prequels as the community exploded. The site started to falter after some neglect in late 2003 and one final post on April Fool's Day with a title "Hayden & Beyonce Secret Lovers."

The site fees kept rolling over and the site existed without upkeep as tumbleweeds rolled through the increasing cobwebs. In March 2008, our host was forced to cut the filed credit card in half and the site fell into oblivion. For two months, the site did not exist in cyberspace until we finally got our act together and scrounged around for enough cash to pay off the hosting fees for one full year. On June 1, 2008 the site re-opened. After some thought, instead of the site name "About Hayden Christensen," it was decided just to simply name the site after the URL - hayden-christensen.com.
